Three Amigos! 1986

I watched the movie Three Amigos and it was hilarious! A really good comedy movie you don't want to miss. Movie was directed by John Landis and the main actors are Chevy Chase(Dusty Bottoms), Steve Martin (Lucky Day), and Martin Short (Ned Nederlander). To start off, all of the actor's were well developed. At the beginning we see the three amigos (Dusty, Lucky, and Ned) singing the three amigos song. Very funny scene and they worked together perfectly as actors and their characters. They have a special friendship bond where they all stay together and never be apart. The evil man called "El Guapo"(Alfonso Arau) ("the handsome", even though he is so not handsome) played his role very good in distinguishing which one was the evil villian. Very effective in showing the evil villian in the way he bossed his people around and when he kept shooting everyone at a bar. Carmen (Patrice Martinez) is the woman who calls the Three Amigos to go to the small town of Santo Poco so they can help the village with the bandits such as El Guapo and his gang. She also develops a crush on Lucky Day (Steve Martin).Dusty Bottoms attribute is that he is the dumb one from the 3 amigos. For example, at the end of the movie, Lucky tells everyone to drop their weapons and Dusty was holding his gun at El Guapo and when Lucky said to drop all weapons, Dusty dropped his weapon-which he didn't suppose to unless you want el Guapo to escape, and picked it up again. Lucky is sort of the leader, he takes the most responsibility from his amigos. Ned is the one that follows, and is the first one to tell the other 2 amigos that leaving the village without fighting off el guapo is not the right way to make a good impression on the village-it makes them seem cowards, which they are at times. At the end he convinces them to fight el guapo and his gang. Characters are casted well. All actors and their characters portray their roles well by the 3 amigos being funny and standing up for the village, and the evil el Guapo in having completely control of the village by threatening them and shooting them.
I liked how all the characters seem to be chosen perfectly together. They all have the right amount of being funny and sarcastic or being cruel like "el Guapo". The whole movie seemed to be well made, felt like your average criminal taking over a small town (in movies i mean). I don't think I disliked anything, everything was good as it was. The plot is about the 3 Amigos that are actors in hollywood but later they get fired from their job since they wanted a better contract deal. Meanwhile in the small village of Santo Poco, the town is having problems of their own with a bandit called "El Guapo". At a church Carmen sees the Amigos movie of the 3 Amigos and decides to contact them by telegram to help out with the El Guapo situation (she thinks they are real crime fighters), also she offers thousands of pesos if they do their job. When they arrive at Mexico (thinking the telegram meant that they were going to be part of a foreign film starring with "el Guapo")with their mexican outfits they are ready to fight them off. Later on Lucky realizes that the bandits and their guns are for real, the 3 amigos run away from the village, and el Guapo kidnapps Carmen. But then the 3 amigos come back to fight like men and rescue Carmen at El Guapo's 40 birthday party,(scratch that I meant his 33 birthday since he doesn't want to seem old). At the end like every happy ending, El Guapo dies from a gunshot and village is saved, and the 3 amigos leave (without the money offer- they thought that helping out was better & more important than money so that's what they did). One of the major conflicts that I saw was that how were the 3 amigos going to fight off so many of el guapo's bandits. It is resolved when the amigos have a plan from their movie they did called "Amigos"- to dress everyone in the village up in those same mexican outfits the amigos were wearing so the bandits would get confused in which ones were the real amigos and it would be easier to kill all the bandits.
Yes, the characters do interact well with each other. Well, at least all the good characters , but the evil bandits don't get along with nobody...well maybe their drinks. There is chemistry between the characters. Like how I said before, the 3 amigos were casted very well beacause all three actors are very funny and they seemed like brothers instead of just good-friend-actors in the movie. The 3 amigos each had their different personalities that made them different but united. Some key pieces of dialogue in this work is at the end of the movie Lucky tells El Guapo, "Not so fast, el Guapo. I will fill you so much with lead, I will use your death as a pencil." I hope I didn't interpret this wrong but I think he meant that he will shoot him so many times that he would have enough lead in him to use as a pencil. Then el Guapo responds to him saying "What do you mean?", then Lucky tells him "I don't know." I choose that scene because I thought it was so funny and dumb in how Lucky said i don't know. Very funny scene that you don't want to miss.
The setting takes place in Hollywood sets, but mostly it is shot at in Mexico-in the small villiago of Santo Poco. Some of the stages are a desert, a bonfire with cactus around the 3 amigos, and the village itself. The desert, well it looks like a desert with nothing on it, maybe just sand. The bonfire stage/scene is where the 3 amigos camped out before returning to the town were they chickened out. There was a bonfire, they were eating bats for dinner (yum! jk), there were cactus and wild animals like a mountain lion or an animal right next to them(in which they didn't seem scared). And the village was a big set where all the houses and people stayed at. The village houses looked old looking-like the wild wild west time. The props they used were their weapons/guns. They used them to threaten the villagers and to use it as a weapon to eliminate their enemies like el Guapo. Yes they were effective most of the time. Other times Dusty tried to do a cool trick with the gun but ended up almost shooting his foot right off (wonder why he's the dumb one =).
Music was very helpful because it expressed the mood of the movie , if that was action, or funny scenes and their characters mood to tell when they were happy or when they were scared. Lighting added to the work very effectively in highlighting the special events like how the sun was glowing a lot when the 3 amigos had an idea or plan. Also the sun helped convey the message when the amigos were in the desert on their horses and they were very thirsty on a hot sunny day- where they exagerated their thrist a little bit (a very funny scene by the way). The costuming they used that were the main ones were there Mexican outfits. They used them to portray themselves as the zorro's, to be confident, and warrior-like. The oufits were very helpful at the end were all the villagers dressed up like them to confuse el Guapo and his bandits when they came to the village to attack the town. Overall, very good movie and very funny.

Westside Story (1961)

The actor’s characters are well developed. At the beginning there are two different gangs or groups that don’t get along well. The groups are the Jets (Caucasian men) and the Sharks (Puerto Rican men). The character of Maria(Natalie Wood) is a young woman trying to be adventurous but her strict older brother, Bernardo, won’t let her do anything. The character of Anita(Rita Moreno) is that she is Bernardo’s girlfriend and she is Maria’s good friend. Tony(Richard Beymer) is in love with Maria, once he sees her it is love at first sight. Bernardo(George Chakiris) is Maria’s older brother and he looks after her; he is kind of overprotected of her. Maria’s attributes is that she is a lovable young woman. She likes to have fun and dance but there is only one little fact. She can’t do anything or go anywhere that isn’t approved by her brother Bernardo. It is more of a family role in where the older brother takes care of or looks after his younger sister like in this case. Also he doesn’t think its right for a Shark (Maria) and a Jet (Tony) to be together, it’s almost a disgrace. Anita is nice and tries to help out Maria so she can be with Tony even though she didn’t agree at first for them to be together. Bernardo is nice to Anita and strict with Maria. He is sort of stubborn for not having to understand that fighting leads to nowhere. Tony is well liked by his gang (the Jets) and best friend “Riff”. He is a gentleman towards Maria and has a good heart for obeying Maria’s order of stopping a fight between the two rivals. Yes the characters are well casted. What makes them better than the other actors that auditioned was that they were chosen for their part in the movie. It was their good acting of portraying their characters. The cast went above and beyond and acted their best to really show the audience how the mood of the movie felt like. It was the audience’s feeling of anticipation of wanting to know if the fight was going to take place. Or knowing who will win the fight. Those types of questions made the audience love the movie for its action and thrilling adventure. (I don’t know about the rest of the audience, but I for sure was anxious to know.)
I love all the characters in the movie; ok, maybe not all of them. I disliked Chino (Bernardo’s best friend) for doing something so horrible that made the movie really sad. (If you would like to know what Chino does, watch the movie and you will find out!). I thought that the character’s thinking of having a fist fight match was a really bad idea. Fist fights or any kind of fight lead to nowhere. I liked how there was a balance of the good characters, the bad, and the wimps or wimp. I thought it was a little funny…or not…in how one of the one of the members from the Jets was crying because of the incident that took place at the fight; he felt guilty, even though he didn’t kill anyone. The plot if I may say so was genius! It was just…Great! Okay enough talking. This incredible movie is a romantic-action movie. There are two “gang” groups that really dislike each other. And those two groups are the Jets (Caucasian men) and the Sharks (Puerto Rican men). The plan was to settle an agreement to not fight each other; (As was told by an officer). They were going to settle the agreement at the school dance; which is where Tony and Maria meet for the first time, their love was a “love at first sight” thing and that’s where their never ending love first started. Bernardo is Maria’s older brother and does not want Tony and Maria to be together because of their social positions (Maria being a Shark and Tony a Jet). Maria breaks the rules and both she and Tony keep seeing each other. Because of how the Sharks and Jets don’t get along together they decide on a fight match. Tony tells his gang to not fight with weapons but with their fist, to make it a fair match. So the fight is agreed on and so it is taking place at a lot under a railway crossing. Maria sends Tony at a later time to stop the fight. Tony tries to stop his friend Riff and Bernardo from fighting but later Riff takes out his pocket knife; making the fight unfair. Bernardo decides it’s not even unless he takes out his pocket knife as well. Chaos and anxiety are erupting. Tony is in the middle of the fight trying to break them apart and Bernardo ends up stabbing Riff. Tony is so shock and mad that he decides to use Riff’s knife to stab Bernardo and so he does. Bernardo and Riff and up dying and more chaos erupts. Chino is going crazy because his friend died. Chino tells Maria, who is waiting for Tony is her rooftop, that her brother has died and the killer was Tony. Maria goes crazy and later that night Tony enters her room from her window. He tells her that it was an accident; he didn’t mean to kill him. At the same time Tony is trying to hide from the police but tells Maria that he would turn himself in to the police if she agrees to, but she says no, to say with her. The next day Anita finds out that Tony is in Maria’s room. A policeman arrives at Maria’s and Anita’s apartment. Anita agrees to keep Tony a secret, while Tony tells Maria to meet each other at the playground. Taking in account that Chino is really upset and is in the loose with a gun. Later on Tony sees Maria and while they are running towards each other the unbelievable happens. Don’t want to ruin ending so watch the movie and you’ll see. But if it’s sort of obvious then you get the point and very sad ending. One of the major conflicts was that the two gangs were going to fight each other. It is solved when Bernardo and Riff end up dying. Let’s just say that the ending is the cause of the two gangs not getting along well and the result of Tony and Maria’s encounter at the playground.
Yes the characters interact well with each other. But when it involves the Sharks vs. the Jets they don’t get along well. Each of the characters listens and reacts properly to all the different situations. They all have the right expression to the scenes. For example when Maria and Chino are on the rooftop, Maria is anxious to know if Tony is okay while Chino has the most surprising expression of “Don’t you get it, your lover KILLED your brother.” There is chemistry between Tony and Maria. They are different from the rest; they are the ones that think anything is possible like breaking rules to see each other. Both are really nice and they will do anything to see and be together. Some key pieces of dialogue in the work are when Tony and Maria are at the bridal shop because Maria works there. Maria told Tony to meet her there and when Tony arrives Maria saw him. Anita knew that they shouldn’t be together but agreed not to tell anyone especially Bernardo. I chose that scene because it showed that Anita knew how much Tony and Maria love each other. She felt how they felt in love and she understood. It showed how her character was being risky because her boyfriend Bernardo didn’t like the idea at all; but she took her chances and let it be. Another key piece of dialogue is when at the very end how the Sharks and the Jets end up suffering together. I chose this scene because it shows how death can really bring people together, and how the Sharks and the Jets learned to cooperate together.
The setting is in Manhattan in an old looking neighborhood. Some of the stages are the playground where a basketball court is at. The lot under the railroad crossing is where the fight is taken place. The lot is fenced in and a tunnel connects to one of the walls and leads to the street, where Tony escapes after stabbing Bernardo. The bridal shop is full of gowns and tuxes. In the back of the shop is where Maria sings the well known song called “I feel pretty.” Another stage is where Tony climbs up the fire escape to see Maria; the stage is in an alley. The actors Bernardo and Riff use a pocket knife as a prop to show they are not playing fair and they totally want to kill each other. They show it to kill one another which turn out to be not very effective since both die.
The music/song choices they play help show the emotions the characters feel. For example, how Maria sings “I’m so pretty” she is so happy and excited that she met Tony. The lighting adds to the work especially in the scene where Tony and Maria are in the bridal shop. Both of them are kneeling down as if they are getting married and a bright light (kind of like an aura/halo) above their heads is lighting up to show happiness and holiness. The costuming is effective in showing the two different gangs. The Jets dress casual in light colors while the Sharks use dark dressy clothes. Overall, I personally think the movie was very good. I loved every single bit of it and how it combined romance with action and suspense. I highly recommend this movie and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did. =).

#3 E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (1982)

The great film, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, was directed by Steven Spielberg. I personally think that any of Steven Spielberg's and Mel Gibson's movies are amazing. The actor's characters were well developed. The following actors and their characters were Dee Wallace as Mary(Elliot's mom). Henry Thomas as Elliot(10 yr. old boy who discovers E.T.); Robert MacNaughton as Michael(Elliot's 16 yr. old brother). Last but not least is Drew Barrymore as Gertie(Elliot's 5 yr. old sister). Elliot's character is the young kid who is curious about things; even though he got scared, he is willing to put that aside to really get to know E.T. and his surprising abilities. Mary is your average mom who cares about your health, like when Elliot had a "fever." Elliot had made the fever up so he can miss school and stay with E.T. Also she worried when Elliot kept telling them that he heard something from outside their house but no one would believe him. At the beginning of the movie she does not have the slightest idea that an alien is in their house, which makes the scene comical. Michael is that popular football player that everyone talks to but his friends start to act differently when they keep bugging Elliot about "a goblin"which turned out to be E.T. Michael's friends humiliate Elliot about the whole situation, but then they learn the truth about E.T. and become a little more understanding. Gertie, Elliot's little sister, completely freaks out about E.T. but she ends up liking E.T. and becomes his friend. She is the one that first teaches E.T. how to talk by using the show called Sesame Street. At the beginning of the movie, Gertie was not liked much, didn't have much attention by her brothers but after going on adventures with E.T. they are more connected. The whole E.T. coming to Earth and then leaving experience makes them more united, because they helped each other keep E.T. a secret from their mom and all were in the mission to take E.T. back home. The characters were casted well because the order/flow of the movie and the character's personalities made the movie an excellent film to watch. The actor who played Elliot made it clear that at the beginning of the movie he was shy and quiet. But after E.T. went home to his planet, Elliot seemed a little more talkative and sad because his best friend had left him.
What I liked about the characters, were that they were an average/normal family, up until E.T. came to Earth then all of them went a little crazy. The mom character was played well because she was strict but she was strict in a certain level where all she wants is the best and the safest things for her children. When she found out about E.T. of course she went crazy but she felt the way her children felt about E.T. And that feeling was love and compassion for a best friend who is an alien. She had that motherly feeling of how her son Elliot felt when he was sad about E.T. leaving. I liked all of the characters; I just didn't like the fact that Michael was being a jerk to his little brother about E.T. Like how he was questioning and telling Elliot before he saw E.T; Michael said, "Oh, that 'monster' is going to come and get me," or "Ok, like you really have an alien hidden." The plot is that an alien-type-of-creature has been left by himself in the planet Earth after a UFO with many other aliens stepped in a cornfield to gather dirt samples. Elliot made a trail of Reeses Pieces candies so whatever he heard when he was in the field, would come to his home. E.T., the extra-terrestrial, ends up at Elliot's backyard and Elliot gets a big scare when he hears and sees him. At that point is where the adventures begin and Gertie teaches E.T. how to talk and she dresses him up as a girl. Elliot and E.T. have a stronger friendship bond and E.T. for Elliot is like the best friend he could ever have. Their adventures are over when government agents and Elliot's mom find out about E.T. At this time Elliot has a bad illness and E.T. is also dying, so to make sure E.T. is alright they try to take him back home where he will be safe. In the movie the agents and medical personel have Elliot and E.T surrounded like if they were a rare disease. It turns out that E.T. dies but later he reincarnates and is a live again. Michael and Elliot felt that it was the perfect time to rescue ET and so Elliot rides ET in his bicycle basket like the famous scene of them flying past the moon. ET has left and the three brothers: Gertie, Michael, and especially Elliot are sad that ET has left and are more united as brothers. The major conflict was people discovering about ET and not getting ET back home. If people found out about ET then the gov. agents will take him away. Also if they don't get back home many complications could go wrong.
The characters do interact well with each other. At the end of the movie the brothers have a greater bond after everything that has happened. They understand each other and respect how each one of them is different. In this movie there is chemistry among Gertie, Michael, and Elliot. They seemed all different in the beginning because of how they didn't act like they were really good brothers. But then aftere they all met ET they had something in common and everything about understanding each other fell into place. A piece of dialogue in the work is when Elliot tells Michael that ET is alive after having seen ET be alive again. Michael is so excited and happy for ET getting better and he jumps high and hits his head in the ceiling which is hilarious. Also the most sad scene is where ET is leaving and everyone is saying their goodbyes. ET tells Elliot that he will always be with him, and so ET points his finger to Elliot's head-telling him that he will always remember him in his memories and heart. I chose these scenes because Michael shows how much they care about ET as if and is their friend. And the goodbye scene shows how a boy and an alien could have such a nice friendship even though they are different.
The setting is a small town in California. Some of the different stages are their house, the forest, and their school. Their house is a traditional looking house. From the outside all the houses are sort of the same in style, and looks like its a good friendly neighborhood. The school is also not as modern, it has that oldish look with pale walls and old looking desks. The forest has a lot of trees as well as a little sort of fields in them. In the forest the trees are green, but since it is California a lot of spaces are brown because the grass/area is dry. Some of the props the actors used was their hoodies at the end of the movie. They used their hoodies and accessories so they are not recognized by the police, so ET is not taken away from them. Also it is not really a prop, but on ET his heart is transparent through his chest showing that he feels loved by Elliot, Gertie, and Michael. He conveys the message that he loves them a lot and it hurts him to leave them when ET finally gets to go home. And another prop is the flower pot because when ET is feeling good and healthy the flowers are nice and fresh like; but when ET is almost dying, the flowers are dying and turning black. The flower pot is a symbol and represents ET's life.
Throughout the movie a lot of the music choices had a sci-fi feeling to them. Like the famous instrumental song kind of sounds like the music from Star Wars. When Elliot, Michael and his friends are trying to get away from the police, music that is fast-pace is playing and one can quickly know that time is running out and they need to get ET back home. When Elliot was outside his house to go look for whatever noise he heard and there was no lights on- it added suspense because he was scared of what might just pop up. When he gets his flashlight he sees ET and obvioulsy gets scared to death and runs back inside the house. The costuming was effective in showing the author's intentions of looking at the family and knowing they are your typical average family. That the family is not very rich nor very poor, they are in the middle. For me, this was a very good movie and I enjoyed watching this. This movie is a good movie about an everlasting friendship between a boy and his alien friend. Make sure this movie is in your "have to see" list of movies or you will regret it!

Bringing Up Baby (1938)

Hey guys! For the second movie review I picked the movie Bringing Up Baby because it sounds interesting and we have to pick a movie from the list...so yeah..I picked this one. =).This movie is black and white and I know what you guys are probably thinking, "boring," but I thought it was actually good; hard to believe but its true. This is a comedy, family, and a romance movie, so if you like those type of movies, go check this out.
In this movie the main characters are Katharine Hepburn as Susan Vance, Cary Grant as Dr. David Huxley(and as "Mr. Bone") and May Robinson as Aunt Elizabeth Randall (Susan's aunt). Dr. David Huxley is a paleontologist who is desperately waiting for one missing bone of a skeleton of a Brontosaurus (a type of dinosaur). Also he is about to get married with his colleague, her name is Alice Swallow ( actress Virginia Walker). David is told that a very generous lady(Susan's aunt) wants to donate one million dollars to the museum where David works. David and Susan's aunt's lawyer go to play golf (David is trying hard to convince that the lawyer's client is making the right decision of donating the big amount of money to museum). When playing golf, David meets Susan and he can tell he hates her already because she stold his car (she didn't know is was his car, she is kind of not smart). So both David and Susan have many adventures like when Susan thinks that her brother sent her a leopard (a real one by the way, called Baby) and she doesn't know what to do with it. (the leopard actually belongs to susan's aunt). Another adventure is when Susan lets loose "Baby" cause someone caught him and put him in a cage, but it wasn't Baby it was a circus leopard who is not at all tamed. The movie is mostly about taking care of a leopard and not having a good survelliance and watching how funny people look when they see it. Some of the major conflicts were losing a leopard, a dog hiding the missing bone from the dinasour, and going to jail. All conflicts are solved, at the end they finally find their leopard when both the leopard and the dog come together to jail,-by themselves. George, susan's dog, gives the bone to her after digging up the whole backyard with holes. Susan makes up a story when she is in the the jail cell and convinces the deputy that she is someone else, and not the person who the deputy thought. The characters do interact well with each other, even though they are very different characters like David and Susan, they still agree with each other about finding the missing bone. When they don't interact well with each other it makes the scene funny.
The actors' characters are developed, when the film presents a character it shows their background, like Huxley-a paleontologist, his attribute is that he is really into dinasours especially about finding the missing bone. Susan's character is developed well -making her attributes being crazy and clueless. At the golf course she takes Huxley's car and crashes to other cars, she sings to her leopard as it were a kitten and hits a poor man with a big rock. I do think they are casted well because they all did a good job of acting and acting their part.
I liked how the characters were crazy and really funny like how Susan acted normal and happy when she thought she brought "Baby" to the police station after she escaped from it to look for Baby, but it turned out it was the untamed leopard from the circus. I also liked how David kept telling Susan to go away because she was annoying, it was funny because she wouldn't leave after the millionth time he told her. The chemistry between David and Susan at the beggining is that he hates her so much, but for Susan its the contrary-she likes David. I would say there is no chemistry at the start because it clearly shows he hates her but at the end he sort of caves in and likes her too even though shes crazy. The key piece of dialogue in this work is at the end when Susan returns the bone to him while trying to balance on a ladder that is in front of a huge dinasour model and telling David that she likes him. I chose this one because it shows the other side of Susan, the sensitive and the forgiving person she is.
The setting is at a museum where the big life-size model of the Brontosaurus is at; Susan's apartment where she uses a record player as a prop to play music to Baby-because he likes one love song in particular and it calms the leopard down. Some of the music that plays in the movie are those noises where its a little suspenseful and funny. This is a really good movie to watch with your family or if you just want to laugh, its the good-stupid comedy that you don't want to miss!

First Movie Review: My Fair Lady

Movie Review #1 is My Fair Lady. At first I thought I wouldn't like it since its an old movie but it was better than what I thought it was going to be like. Who knew old movies were good. My Fair Lady was really enjoyable and funny. My Fair Lady was actually a show/musical, in broadway it starred Julie Andrews with her partner Rex Harrison, but they turned it into a film. If you like comedies, musicals you should watch this movie!
So to start things of I would say that the actors did a fine job acting as the character. They were very, well in character. When you watch the movie you can tell who was who. In other words: who was the poor girl selling flowers, or the know-it-all professor Higgins. The costumes were very distinguishable for example, professor Higgins was an elegant professor and wore suits almost all the time. Eliza (the poor girl selling flowers, who has a speech problem) was dressed in not that elegant clothes, with dirt all over her. Eliza is a strong girl who defends herself. At the beginning of the movie when a man (the professor) tells her that she is not worthy of sitting on the pillar, she talks with confidence and tells the man what she thinks she should do or not do. Also she complains a lot, when the professor tells her to repeat the vowels-a, e, i, o, u she keeps arguing and complaining like a child. Professor Higgins is an arrogant know-it-all. He thinks he can convert/change any woman who doesn't know how to speak proper english and pass her of as a duchess. I would say the characters were casted well. They acted their part and did a good job with letting their character's personalities come alive. I liked how all the characters were different. Each one of the character's personalities brought something to the "table" and made the movie enjoyable. I did not like how Eliza kept complaining about almost everything, it was a little too much. But at the end she changes and her speaking becomes better.
So here is what the movie is about. There is Eliza Dolittle (Audrey Hepburn), a poor flower seller with bad speaking habits who encounters a speech professor. The professor-Higgins(Rex Harrison)-suggest that Eliza should go to him to better her awful speaking. She takes it into consideration and decides that she should do it for her sake and for the sake of getting a better paid job. She spends about six months at the professor's house and begins her speech lessons and becomes better at speaking. Later on she discovers that she was a bet, and know one cared about her, they only cared if she was going to be a better speaker in those six months. The major conflict is that Eliza doesn't want to recognize the she has a speech problem and she doesn't want to admit it. The conflict does get solved when she finally decides to have courage in improving her improper speaking. That is when she goes to professor Higgins to help her speak better.
The characters do seem to interact well with each other because they have this bond where they understand each other. They have good reactions when they interact, some reactions might be getting mad at a person or going crazy. This movie is a romantic comedy; the two characters that sort of fall in love with each other is Eliza and professor Higgins. The chemistry between them is there but in a weird way. I said in a weird way because you can't totally tell they like each other but the fact that there different and then Higgins realizes that all he wants is the crazy Eliza by his side then there's definitely chemistry going on.
The setting takes place in London when all the people especially the women wore huge hats and fancy-old style clothes. There are many stages in the musical/movie. Some of the stages were a small town, a huge house-plaza were Higgins lives, and the horse track. The small town looked really small, all white buildings, the town place looked fake since it was a stage. The house were Higgins lives has about two or three floors. In the horse track was a section were you can sit and then the section were the people were standing in grass watching the race. The horse track was not shown completely only part of it to get the point across. The prop that Eliza used was her basket of flowers to sell them to the people, it was effective it showed that the flowers were for buying. The music adds to the work by putting happy music when the character was happy or cheerful. Their is this one song that got stuck in my head while I was watching the movie it was sung my Eliza's dad, the song is called "With a little bit of luck," its a cheerful song that gets stuck in your head. When the music had an evil sort of rythm it meant that the character was mad. The end of my first movie review, yes!

Love movies!!

I have a myriad of favorite movies,
but my favorite movie is Chasing Liberty!!
